Mintropy, LLC. provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering services for the renovation of approximately 4,280 Sq. Ft. of restaurant space at Orlando Sanford International Airport terminal. The project involved a complete interior modification, including the demolition and replacement of all existing MEP systems to meet the new space layout and requirements.

Mechanical

  • Revised ductwork distribution and HVAC systems to accommodate the new restaurant layout.
  • Tied into existing ventilation and exhaust systems, ensuring adequate capacity.
  • Designed localized controls for HVAC operations.
  • Coordinated the design of new Make-Up Air/Exhaust systems for kitchen hoods.

Electrical

  • Assumed existing electrical service was adequate and designed power circuits for lighting, receptacles, and specialty equipment.
  • Collaborated with the architect for lighting fixture selection and ensured compliance with energy codes.
  • Designed emergency egress lighting with battery backup, using photometric calculations for code compliance.
  • Provided integration of fire alarm devices into the existing system.

Plumbing

  • Connected sanitary drainage and vent systems to the existing sanitary main.
  • Integrated new plumbing fixtures with the existing domestic water system and operational recirculation system.
  • Ensured all plumbing designs met code compliance, with fixture layout and specifications provided by the architect.
