Z+hd-Office and Production Facility – Chicago, IL

Introduction

This facility is located along Chicago’s Northside and provides an excellent example of how adaptable Mintropy’s engineers can be. This building is a combination of a production facility and an administrative office. Because of the nature of the job, Mintropy’s engineers had the task of ensuring that both individual areas conformed to regulations.

We first determined the need for MEP engineering in each instance. Office water supply needs would be different in both scale and scope to the production facility. When designing for both the administrative offices and the industrial part of the building, our engineers took those unique differences into account. We used a similar approach for mechanical/HVAC and electrical engineering designs.

Construction documents and permit drawings also formed part of our obligation to the client. We submitted online forms and verified their readiness on behalf of the client, allowing them to focus on the more essential elements of their business.

Mintropy dedication to providing simple solutions for complex problems underlines our planning and design process. The development of this facility demonstrates our ability to apply our knowledge and experience to a complicated task. Mintropy believes in being adaptable. Summary

This project required significant amounts of planning and research, as well as follow-up. Permit approvals are a delicate business, but Mintropy’s personnel are well-versed in the application process and managed to guide our clients efficiently through the red tape. We dealt with the permit application process and the online forms required, keeping things simple for our client throughout the process.
