Appleton International Airport – Greenville, WI Fratellos Restaurant & Lounge Space
Project Overview
We successfully executed MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection) systems for a restaurant and lounge space, ensuring functional, code-compliant, and efficient infrastructure. From the new HVAC system to fire protection integration, the project encompassed all critical components to serve the proposed areas.
Key Features
Mechanical
- Installed new rooftop HVAC systems and engineered ductwork distribution for the spaces.
- Collaborated with approved vendors to design hood exhaust fans and make-up air systems with integrated cooling.
- Designed and implemented new gas distribution, general exhaust, and localized controls.
- Provided natural gas service to support new HVAC equipment.
Electrical
- Delivered a power distribution system with new service entrances and adequately sized panelboards.
- Designed general-purpose and specialty receptacle layouts for restaurant and lounge areas, meeting airport requirements.
- Engineered electrical circuiting for lighting, kitchen/bar equipment, mechanical, and plumbing loads.
- Provided lighting fixture selections, layouts and controls with the architect, owner, and airport authorities.
- Provided rough-ins for fire alarm and low-voltage systems to integrate with existing infrastructure.
Plumbing
- Provided new sanitary and domestic water services for the proposed space.
- Installed domestic water, sanitary drainage, and vent systems for plumbing fixtures.
- Routed water/sanitary distribution and prepared riser diagrams.
Fire Protection
- Defined fire protection zones and hazard zone classifications.
- Coordinated with licensed contractors to ensure accurate fire protection drawings for permitting.
Summary
This project involved designing and implementing HVAC/RTU systems, electrical power distribution, lighting, plumbing, and fire protection for the restaurant and lounge areas. Our work included detailed engineering of ductwork, exhaust systems, electrical receptacle layout, and plumbing distribution, with close coordination with architects, owners, and airport authorities. Each system was customized to meet operational needs and local regulations.
