Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport – MKE, WI Bar + Market

Introduction

Mintropy, LLC provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering services for the addition of a bar, farmer’s market, and BOH spaces at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport terminal. This project encompassed a total of 1,767 Sq. Ft. of new space. The scope of work included designing and implementing new MEP systems according to the proposed space layouts.

Key Features

Mechanical

  • Engineered new rooftop unit (RTU) systems for heating and cooling of the spaces.
  • Designed new ductwork and distribution systems for the proposed spaces.
  • Developed general exhaust systems and their distribution requirements.
  • Integrated localized controls to ensure system efficiency.
  • Engineered new natural gas distribution systems as required.

Electrical

  • Provided new electrical service, main distribution panel, and additional subpanels for bar and retail spaces.
  • Coordinated general-purpose and specialty receptacle layouts based on equipment requirements.
  • Installed AFCI/GFCI receptacles in compliance with code.
  • Designed electrical circuits for lighting, receptacles, bar equipment, signage, POS systems, and more.

Plumbing

  • Installed new sanitary and domestic water services for the proposed spaces.
  • Designed sanitary drainage and vent systems for new plumbing fixtures.
  • Provided new hot and cold water systems as needed.
  • Engineered new recirculation systems to meet the space’s requirements.
  • Incorporated plumbing fixture specifications provided by others for all fixtures.

Summary

Mintropy, LLC designed and engineered MEP systems for the new bar, farmer’s market, and BOH spaces at General Mitchell International Airport terminal. The work involved new HVAC systems, electrical distribution, plumbing services, and utility connections. The project did not require any demolition or modifications to existing systems.
