Pittsburgh International Airport – Pittsburgh, PA Stack + Press Restaurant

Introduction

Mintropy, LLC was engaged to provide Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEPF) engineering services for the addition of a new Stack + Press Restaurant 607 Sq.Ft. at General Pittsburgh International Airport terminal. The project scope involved providing new Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and Fire Protection systems to support the proposed space layout. Mintropy coordinated with the architect and owner for the design and layout of the bar, including utility connection.

Key Features

Mechanical

  • Revise ductwork (supply/return diffusers) distribution from existing duct mains to accommodate the renovated FOH space.
  • Revise natural gas rough-in for replacement of selected pieces of kitchen equipment

Electrical

  • Electrical circuiting for lighting, general receptacle, kitchen equipment, mechanical equipment, plumbing equipment, specialty equipment, etc.
  • Lighting fixtures, Lighting Control –provided in accordance with industry standards and energy code requirements.
  • Egress Lighting and Photometric calculations performed for egress lighting using lighting software such as Agi32 and/or Visual to meet code requirements.

Plumbing

  • Revise water/sanitary rough-in for replacement of selected pieces of kitchen equipment

Fire protection

  • Indicate FP zone outlines / hazard zone classification requirements for general layout.
