Introduction

The project involves providing comprehensive electrical and plumbing engineering design services for a new two-story residential house, including a basement, totaling approximately 4,500 Sq. Ft. The layout consists of three to four bedrooms, a guest suite, a home office, and a two-car garage located in the basement. Additional features include a walk-out basement patio, a mudroom, a covered rear deck, a roof deck, and plans for a future residential elevator. To ensure a well-coordinated approach, Mintropy, LLC will collaborate with a solar consultant to develop a photovoltaic strategy that integrates grid interconnection and potential battery storage solutions.

Mintropy, LLC will provide essential electrical services, including the design of a robust power distribution system tailored to the needs of the residential house. This will encompass a service entrance that accommodates a 208/120V three-phase system and includes load calculations for various electrical needs, such as lighting, receptacles, and future provisions for an electric vehicle charging station. The lighting plan will be developed in coordination with the architect and will adhere to the Residential Energy Code, while the fire alarm system will meet all required code standards. Additionally, low-voltage systems will be outlined to facilitate data and security measures throughout the home.

For plumbing design, Mintropy developed a comprehensive sanitary drainage and vent system along with domestic water systems, ensuring they are aligned with the specifications provided by others. The project will feature a heat pump-style electric water heater and an engineered recirculation system as needed. Riser diagrams suitable for permitting will be created, and all plumbing fixtures will be specified by the architect. Overall, the electrical and plumbing designs are meticulously coordinated to ensure efficient operation and compliance with relevant regulations, setting the foundation for a successful construction project.
